Hallo,

folgender Vectra soll 1996 in diesem Design in Modena gefahren sein, Fahrer : Villamil.

Meines Wissens fuhr Villamil aber in diesem Jahr in der CET - Serie mit der Nummer 1 (hinteres Auto)

Schönes Fantasyprodukt oder tatsächlich war ?

Hi,

in 1996 there are only 2 Vectra in the ITCC, but that are Opel Vectra GT's so that's type A.

In 1997 There are 2 Opel Vectra Class 2 in the ITCC but no race found on Modena.

Also no Villamil in that year, Villamil drives in 1996 the Spanish Touring car serie the CET.

Wenn ich mich nicht sehr täusche, wurde der Vectra B in 1996 nur in der BTCC eingesetzt und zwar vom Vauxhall Werksteam. 1995 tauchten die ersten Fotos vom neuen Auto auf, das damals parallel in Strassen und Rennversion entwickelt wurde.

Irgendwie schaffte Holzer es noch in 1996, zwei aktuelle Autos für den STW Cup zu bekommen, aber weitere Klasse 2 Vectra B aus dem Jahr sind mir nicht bekannt.

The Vectra B Class 2 was also used in 1996 in the JTCC (Japan), the Procar in Belguim.

The STW one was a BTCC car, Opel has pickup a Vauxhall Vectra to Germany and used in the STW,
but the car was not so good for the German tracks and in 1997 the STW Vectra was not good. In 1998 Opel has buildup a second version of the Class two Vectra for Europa.

That's the sotry that i have heard over the years.

I was not aware of that. Or it has slipped from my memory...

Thats right. The first Version hat too much Downforce for the German circuits. And the Orignal Engine was prepared by Swindon (if I remember correctly). Later Opel used Engines that were prepared by Spiess...

Be it as it may, I don't think that there was a JSP Vectra in 1996.
